Whats funny is you think that Bioware in some way went around the appropriate channels of getting a rating for the game that does not accurately reflex its content. I can only imagine how bad this kind of a publicity storm would be for your little emerging MMO. So too should a young person be required to provide a drivers license number to validate age and parental consent, especially considering the immersive experience of a modern video game like SWTOR.Ĭonsider this your first warning Bioware. As I Bioware fan am I deeply disturbed by their lack of honesty pertaining the game material Star Wars the Old Republic is a lot of fun, but Bioware is shamefully taking advantage of parents ignorance and the well established reputation of other influential MMORPGs to expand their player base beyond what is appropriate or acceptable. I suggest that anyone that agrees immediately write their congressman. This game deserves a solidly mature rating. This game is not for children, it's not even for teens. To recap, in the last week I: 1) murdered a woman for committing adultery 2) Shocked my slave for disobeying me and 3) flirted with every female NPC in the galaxy.
